About the Show

Stanhope Show is an agricultural show held annually on the second weekend in September at Unthank Park, Stanhope. Stanhope Agricultural Society was formed in 1834 and there has been a show held every year since with the exception of the war years, during the Foot & Mouth outbreak and the Covid pandemic.

The primary focus of the show is the exhibition of local cattle, sheep, industrial produce, show jumping, horse and pony classes.
