Open to children aged 6 – 11
Want something to do on a rainy summer’s day? Now is your chance to make up your own story and enter our exciting competition.
This year there is a theme. To mark the historic Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, we want you to write a short story featuring The Queen. Feel free to put Her Majesty in any world. She could meet the dinosaurs or even rocket into outer space. Let your imagination fly!
The only rules are that it must be your own original story, it must feature The Queen and it can’t be more than 500 words.
Please send all entries through your guardian, parent or teacher via email to our new email address:
Closing Date: Friday 12th August.
The top three winning entries will be announced on Stanhope Show Friday, 9th September 2022 via the Stanhope Show Facebook Page. The top three entries will also be published on the Stanhope Show Facebook Page and Phil Mews’s Author Page on Facebook.
