Catering & Facilities

Catering

Visitors can choose from a variety of food outlets on the showground.

Judges, committee members and volunteers enjoy catering facilities in the pavilion. When you are thirsty choose from our Public or Members’ Bar in the Beer Tent or a range of outlets around the showground selling soft drinks.

Toilets

Public toilet facilities are located throughout the showground. Public Toilets for the disabled can be found near the Ridley Suite in the Pavilion beside our permanent toilet block. Toilets are cleaned throughout the show weekend.

Any issues should be reported to the General Secretary’s Office which is located close to the Pavilion and toilet block.

The society will not accept any responsibility for any claim for damages or injury caused in any way whatsoever on the showground on the day of the show.

Exhibitors are reminded that it is their responsibility to insure against damage caused by their animals.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at the show, but are not allowed into any of the animal areas.  This includes the rabbits and poultry!

Parking & Accessibility

Car parking is clearly signed from the centre of Stanhope. Please follow the directions for the visitor car park.

You will be directed to a safe car parking area by our experienced parking stewards.

If you have mobility issues please let the stewards know and they will direct you to the designated area of the car park.  This is close to the showground but there is a short walk on flat grass and then a path leading to the ticket booth.

Please do remember the showfield can be uneven and there may be hidden indentations and areas where animals have trodden which can cause difficulty walking. In wet conditions the grass will become slippery.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG OR ANY OTHER ANIMALS UNATTENDED IN YOUR CAR. DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS.
